Imm Cologne, Germany, 2015

Having taken time out from visiting Imm Cologne in the past couple of years, a snap decision to hop on a plane to Cologne proved well worth the mad panic to find last-minute accommodation.

Cologne continues to be an excellent reflection of the many facets of the interiors industry, offering something for everyone. Certainly, there was plenty to keep the Mary Gannon Design team busy, from innovations by established manufacturers to sightings of big-name designers, including Sebastian Herkner and Shanghai based duo Neri & Hu.

What's more, we stumbled across a handful of new names, most notably Portuguese brand WEWOOD, which wowed us with its Scarpa and Casanova sideboards. Scroll down to see what else caught our eye in Cologne.

Debut designs from ClassiCon included Neri & Hu's lightweight Sedan chair and Nina Mair’s 50s-inspired Cypris mirror, which features a beautiful brass frame.

The Collar Lamp is Sebastian Herkner's first design for Gubi, available in two sizes and five different colours: black, grey, taupe, terracotta and sand.

With more than 500,000 sold to date, the CAB chair designed by Mario Bellini for Cassina in 1977 has been given a new lease of life. It is now available in 16 sensational colours.

What’s not to love about Roberto Lazzeroni’s Romeo dining table for Baxter, boasting a burnished iron base and Calacatta Oro marble top. It is seen here with Lazzeroni’s leather-clad Colette dining chair.

Add a splash of colour to your living space with Carlo Ballabio’s new upholstered bench for Porada.

Living Divani showcased its stunning Lipp bed by Italian designer Piero Lissoni.

We fell in love with WEWOOD’s Scarpa and Casanova sideboards, crafted from solid wood.

Thanks to a frame featuring removable struts, cushions and armrests can easily be added to Hem's Palo sofa/day bed, which comes in four variations: a single-seater, a two-seater, a corner sofa and an ottoman.

Stealing the limelight on the Walter Knoll stand was Tama, a new sculptural occasional table with a stunning marble top.

Tonon’s best selling Up-chair has been updated with solid wood armrests in American walnut.
