Tara Bernerd: Place

You know you’ve made it when the multi award-winning British architect Richard Rogers writes the foreword to your book. That’s not to say that Tara Bernerd’s body of work doesn’t speak for itself. In fact, her design – featured in private homes, super yachts, offices, hotels, nightclubs and restaurants worldwide – speaks volumes.

Tara has been honing her genius for interior space planning since setting up her interior architecture practice in London in 2002. However, for the first time, 18 of her most renowned projects are on view in a new book, Tara Bernerd: Place.

The thread running through all of the featured projects is Tara’s belief that we all seek meaning and connection through a sense of place. By merging organic with industrial and old with new, Tara harnesses a new and more culturally savvy direction in interior design – one that acknowledges that we all want to feel at home wherever we are and however far we’ve travelled.

From a villa in Sa Torre and an apartment on Central Park West to SIXTY SoHo and the Four Seasons in Fort Lauderdale, this beautifully illustrated book showcases Tara’s innate ability to create stylish environments that communicate warmth and character.

Tara Bernerd: Place by Tara Bernerd is published by Rizzoli New York and priced £42.50. To celebrate the launch, Tara will be signing copies on 16th March between 3-4pm at The Design Club, Chelsea Harbour Design Centre.
