The prospect of refurbishing three very tired rooms was sufficiently daunting to have been firmly placed on the back-burner. With Mary’s invaluable assistance, within just a few weeks fabrics & wall coverings had been selected, potential problems successfully negotiated & decorators, upholsterers & curtain makers commissioned. A few weeks after, decoration work commenced, with a minimum of disruption, & on its completion, furniture & furnishings were delivered according to schedule. The result has more than met our expectations and it is now hard to see why we put it off for so long. We are even contemplating work that needs to be done on other rooms with something approaching equanimity.”
